v0.3.0-alpha.162 — 2026-05-26
Changed
- Aligned the planner's seller identity throughout: copyright lines, Privacy Notice controller, and Data Storage entry now all reference **Skethio** (the operational brand) instead of an unrelated trading name from a prior project. Vellum remains the product brand for this planner.
v0.3.0-alpha.161 — 2026-05-26
Changed
- Companion-file sync indicator and warning button moved from the footer up to the header, next to the green "Saved" chip. When a sync warning fires, you'll see it where you're already looking, not buried at the bottom of the page.
- Privacy Notice (Help → Privacy Notice) controller line updated: "Skethio is the data controller…" — surfaces the operational brand rather than the product-line name.
v0.3.0-alpha.160 — 2026-05-26
Fixed
- The primary tab bar (Dashboard / Refine / Transactions / Plan Ahead / Setup / Help) now stays visible at the top of the page when you scroll a long view. Previously it scrolled away with the content. The header above it was already sticky; now both stay anchored.
- Footer links **Help & FAQ** and **Privacy** are now wired correctly. Previously clicking them just scrolled the page to the top because no handler was attached. Now Help & FAQ opens the Help tab on the disclaimer entry ("What this planner is and isn't") and Privacy opens the new Privacy Notice entry.
v0.3.0-alpha.159 — 2026-05-26
Changed
- Footer companion-status message reworded. Previously read
companion ⚠ permission no-handle — click to retry when no companion file was linked — confusing because "no-handle" is internal jargon. Now reads companion ⚠ no file linked — Settings → Save companion file, which points to the actual fix. Similar tidy-up for the "permission denied" case.
Removed
- Stale "Coming next (in flight): Surplus/Shortfall verdict panel · Payday transfer checklist · …" footer in the Monthly Plan tab. Those four panels have all shipped — the footer was leftover developer copy and made the tab look unfinished.
v0.3.0-alpha.158 — 2026-05-26
Added
- Four new legal entries in the Help tab, grouped after the existing "What this planner is and isn't" disclaimer:
v0.3.0-alpha.157 — 2026-05-26
Changed
- The persistent header at the top of the planner now reads
Vellum · Divorce Financial Planner (previously just the product name). Matches the brand presence on the unlock screen and Settings panel — keeps the parent-brand visible on every screen of the app.
v0.3.0-alpha.156 — 2026-05-26
Added
- Three new BYOK AI providers in Settings → AI — Direct: OpenAI (ChatGPT), xAI (Grok), and Perplexity (Sonar). The provider picker now offers five options total alongside the existing Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini.
- Latest flagship models for each: GPT-5.5 / GPT-5.5 Thinking / GPT-5.5 Pro for OpenAI; Grok 4.3 / 4.20 Reasoning / 4.1 Fast for xAI; Sonar / Sonar Pro / Sonar Reasoning Pro / Sonar Deep Research for Perplexity.
- Gemini 3.5 Flash added to the existing Gemini list (newest Gemini model, released May 2026).
Changed
- Settings now notes that Anthropic and Gemini officially support direct browser API calls, while OpenAI, xAI, and Perplexity work currently but their browser-direct support is not formally documented — useful expectation-setting if a provider tightens CORS in future.
- Cost estimates updated with approximate pricing for the new providers.
Action recommended
- Back up your data before re-downloading (Settings → Security & companion → Save companion file).
- Re-download the planner from your Etsy Purchases page and overwrite the existing file in the same folder. Your data stays intact.
v0.3.0-alpha.155 — 2026-05-26
Added
- Vellum brand mark on the unlock screen, paired with the wordmark beneath it. The same mark sits inline with the heading on the Settings panel, so it appears every time you open Settings.
- Updated browser-tab icon to the Vellum Layers mark — a single-ink, three-rectangle motif that adapts to your system's light or dark mode automatically.
Changed
- Browser tab title is now
Vellum · Divorce Financial Planner (UK) (previously just the product name). This matches how the product is referred to in your Etsy receipt and in license emails.
v0.3.0-alpha.154 — 2026-05-26
Changed
- License and update checks now use the Skethio domain (
license.skethio.com) — previously a Cloudflare workers.dev URL. The activation page also moved to activate.skethio.com. License emails now arrive from Vellum <hello@skethio.com>. No action required from you — your existing license keeps working, and the new domain is added alongside the old one for backwards compatibility.
- Buyer support contact updated to
support@skethio.com. Security reports now go to security@skethio.com. Both addresses forward to the same place as before.
Action recommended
- Back up your data before re-downloading (Settings → Security → Save companion file).
- Re-download the planner from your Etsy Purchases page and overwrite the existing file in the same folder. Your data stays intact.
v0.3.0-alpha.153 — 2026-05-25
Added
- License & updates panel in Settings. Activate your planner with the token from the Vellum activation page, then use the "Check for updates" button to see when a new version is available.
- "Licensed to …" indicator confirms your activation, with the date you activated and your license ID.
Changed
- Welcome modal now points first-time openers to the activation page so updates can reach them.
Action recommended
- If you've already purchased, visit the activation page link sent in your Etsy order message to claim your license. This is a one-time step — your token is stored encrypted alongside the rest of your data.
v0.3.0-alpha.149 — 2026-05-24
Added
- Welcome modal on first open with a plain-language disclaimer ("this is a planning tool, not legal or financial advice; back up your data; your information stays on your device").
- "What this planner is and isn't" entry in the Help tab — sets expectations before the buyer commits time to setup.
Changed
- Bundled sample data scrubbed of any real-looking names, addresses, and merchant references. Sample transactions now use generic placeholders (e.g. "ABC Lettings", "Service Charge") so nothing in the file resembles a real person's finances.
- Settings header label tightened for clarity.
Fixed
- Version chip in the footer now displays consistently across the Setup, Transactions, and Settings tabs.
v0.3.0-alpha.146 — 2026-05-23
Added
- Generic CSV import. Bring transactions in from any UK bank by mapping the columns once — the planner remembers your mapping for next time and auto-matches presets for common banks (HSBC, Lloyds, Santander, NatWest, Barclays, Monzo, Starling, Nationwide, Halifax).
- Live search across the Help tab — type to filter the 25 Help entries in real time.
- "Take me there" navigation buttons throughout Help. Click an entry and jump straight to the tab the entry describes, with the relevant filter already applied.
- Tabler icons across the interface — consistent visual language, faster scan.
- Sub-tab routing — direct links to specific Settings or Help sub-sections work from the Help "Take me there" buttons and from the in-app banners.
Changed
- Setup, Transactions, Baseline, Monthly Plan, Forward Projection, Goals, Anomalies, and Settings tabs unified under the new design language. Cards, spacing, and typography are consistent across every screen.
- Baseline tab redesigned with health scorecards, a composition donut, and "Going deeper" question grid (5 starter views).
Fixed
- Numerous import-edge-case fixes during the alpha.106 → alpha.146 polish pass — duplicate detection, currency parsing, date format inference, and merchant deduplication all hardened against weird real-world bank CSVs.
Action recommended
- First public release. Save the planner file into a dedicated folder on your computer (e.g.
My Documents/Vellum) — keeping it in a stable location means your encrypted data stays accessible across browser updates.
